Allgemeines

  1. Are updates for this software free of charge?

    Updates with the same main version number are free of charge, but the software has to be purchased directly through www.xpertdesign.de

    Example: You ordered Version V1.1.0, then all Updates up to version V1.9.9 are free of charge. The update to version V2.0 will cause a small update fee.

  2. How many licenses do I need to order for my company?

    Each user / computer needs a license.
     
  3. Can I use a larger font size in Windows?

    You can use large fonts in Windows. Nevertheless it can cause some errors in displaying the data, therefore we ask you to use the normal size fonts. You can set them in your Windows system at the desktop configuration. The suggested size is 96 dpi.
  4. Does the application run with Windows XP and Windows Vista?

    Yes, BackupXpress is Windows XP and Windows Vista compatible.
     
  5. What system requirements does BackupXpress have?

    Windows 98SE / ME / 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista with 20 MB free RAM, approx. 15 MB free hard disk space.
     
     

Installation & Update

  1. I want to update my BackupXpress. How can I avoid to loose the created projects?

    The setup only exchanges changed program files. Your existing projects won't be touched.
     
  2. How can I deinstall BackupXpress?

    Go to the windows system settings and choose "Software". Now look for "BackupXpress Pro" and hit "delete".

Network

  1. I can open the helpfile through the network, but don't see any text.

    After a security update of Windows XP you can't connect to .chm files through the network anymore. The help file is started, but you don't see any text. If you copy the .chm file from the server to your local drive, everything works.
